Just as your livers and onions are rebounding from a holiday festival of bubbly spirits, it's time for the boys of Drunk Prom Date to rock in the New Year.

Now most of you know that for over 13 years, Drunk Prom Date has had numerous experiences playing for audiences that run screaming during sold out backyard puppet shows. In their infinite wisdom, the geniuses at the P.F. Chang's Rock 'n' Roll Arizona Marathon thought, "Since DPD is used to having people dash away from them, who better to throw up on stage 23 than the band most likely to make people throw up?"

So while hard core runners are hitting the wall at mile 23, before they lose all bladder control at mile 25, they will have to push through the din that is Drunk Prom Date. For those of us not insane enough to run the marathon, this makes for one hell of a party.

Bring your lawn chairs, your feather boas, and rock and roll marathon Drunk Prom Date style this Sunday, January 9th, from 9a - 2p. DPD will be playing outside Big Surf on Hayden Road. For those of you who made it last year, you can attest this is one of the best tailgating parties of any marathon in the country. Actually, we think it's the only one. There'll be plenty of food and beverages from Monkey Pants Bar & Grill, so go to early church service, take an extra swig or three of sacramental wine and get down to Big Surf this Sunday for Marathon Madness.
